Tchina Ndjidda

Choreographer and performer Tchina obtained the diploma in African dance, traditional and contemporary dance from the Ecole des Sables in Senegal with an Excellent mention in July 2021. He is the author of several shows and artistic performances, including "Time," "Beyond the Imagination," and "Your Burden." Tchina has participated in numerous festivals and international cultural events across Europe and Africa, such as France, Senegal, Greece, Mali, Finland, Denmark, Belgium, Hungary, Chad, and Burkina Faso. He is a dancer for the DK-BEL Company in France and the Tchina Company in Cameroon, as well as the president of the Association Apk'ART. Tchina is also a trainer in dance and practice living arts at various international schools and institutions. He was awarded the ACOGNY Bronze in 2021 and the Goethe Discovery Prize in 2017. Additionally, he was selected for La Route des Chefferies, a project of the French Institute. Tchina's work is focused on artistic therapy and the integration and social inclusion of individuals facing disadvantaged situations.
Driven by his migration experience, Tchina created his first piece Cross, a dance performance that tells the story of a young dancer who leaves for a clandestine adventure to pursue his career in Europe. After several frustrations in his own country and in his family circle, the young man, distraught by moral misery, decides to leave his native land. He returns after many years of absence, touched by an unparalleled shame, he speaks of his journey towards utopia.
